Bodywork "Bouncing"

In Wing Tjun is much debate about the body work. There are many views and many opinions about what is right or wrong. Many work very different and very individual. It's ok if someone's physique according to different moves. Nevertheless, there are false movements that may not be included in the Wing Tjun. They do not comply with the principles and concepts, which is directed by the system. Techniques or movements can varrieren and look completely different, must still follow the principles, if you want more pratizieren Wing Tjun.

But body movements that go forward and backward, the so-called "bouncing", are wrong in principle. GM Tang Chun Pak, Großneffe und Nachfolger von GM Tang Yick sagte dazu folgendes : "As on the way of body movement, the power of Weng Chun un, at least the Weng Chun Kuen taught by Grand Uncle Tang Yick was never generated by the back and forth and deep bow movement of the upper body. It is not in Grand Master Chu Chong Man's Chong Kuen, Wooden Dummy, nor the Sam Bai Fut of Grand Master Law Chiu Woon. I do not know why Wei Yan could have taught about it. Such body movement had never been mentioned by any of my Si Hing's who were personally present when the Grand Masters were exchanging there knowledge"

In deutsch:
"Wie sich der Körper bewegt, die Kraft des Wing Tjun, auch bei der Wing Tjun Kuen Form von Großonkel Tang Yick wurde nie Force generated by the body before and moved back. This movement was not in GM's Chu Chung Chong Kuen, wooden doll and not in the Sam Bai Fut GM Loo Chiu Woon. I do not know why Wai Yan would have something to show. Such body movements were never trained by my Sihing who were personally present when the grand masters exchanged their knowledge and skills. "

What GM Tang Chung Pak trying to say is that the" bounce "has existed in Wing Tjun never and misinterpretation of "doing" might be, which means to sink themselves in the hip. This movement with "Chum" is very important for the generation of power from the hip, combined with the Footwork. But the "bounce" has no business here. In most styles

Kung Fu The ups and downs of the body is not used. This movement is not yet available in WingTjun in Hung Gar, Praying Mantis, White Crane, etc. Only in Pak Mei Hsing Yi Quan, and I find similar movements. I personally

some old videos from GM Wai Yan, GM Tang Yick and have seen of their students, which also use the "bouncing" is not. Even GM Cheng Kwong, of 30 years was a student of GM Wai Yan knows that you will not move.

Whether this "bouncing" good or bad, can anyone find out for yourself, at least for me it is wrong and has no place in the WingTjun, WengChun, etc. VingTsun system.

The body work is in the Siu Lam WingTjun prevails very simple and very ingenious. The force is obtained from the hip, from the state and out of footwork. Here, the upper body quickly fall into a "Ham" to provide better use of the joints. However, while the body is not leaning forward, but falls off easily.

historic trip to China and Hong Kong

Under the motto "In the footsteps of the old Grand Master," began the journey from Amsterdam to Hong Kong and China with Sifu Taner Erdogan and his teacher GM Sergio Iadarola P.

Late at night it went from Amsterdam to Hong Kong. The 12-hour flight passed quickly, as all pretty tired from traveling Kung Fu training course from the previous day were. In Hong Kong we arrived we were already GM Tang Chun Pak, Sunny Sun and GM Clifford Sifu Ip eingeladen.Die first snake to eat soup tasted a bit weird but warmed to the body.

The next day was then already well trained. Together with our Sifu Sergio Iadarola GM, we headed to the park GM Tang Chun Pak, the successor of the legendary GM Tang Yick, took us gently into his training group in the park in Hong Kong. Sunny So together with GM, said GM Tang Chun Pak the forms and the corresponding "two-man" Chi Sao exercise. Sifu Taner had on site the opportunity to be reexamined carefully korrigiertzu. A sparring with the students on the ground, rounded off the successful launch in Hong Kong. In the evening we visited the grave of GM Yip Man, and thus given our respect for this great Kung Fu legend.

After a week stay in Hong Kong and visit to various training and Wing Chun masters did it then to Fatshan. Accompanied by GM wurdenwir Sunny So and Sifu Clifford. We wanted to visit an old temple, where according to legend, the Tang Chi Sim family to the Chi Sim Wing Tjun zeigte.Nach of South Shaolin Monastery had fled, was one of the places where he sought refuge Fei Lo Chi Temple.

the time being, we visited Fatshan a karate and taekwondo master Sifu Lau. He invited us to dinner. At dinner we had the opportunity to talk with Sifu Lau on the development of martial arts in China. He knew many masters from different styles and used a very good relationship with them.

In Fatshan we visited the Yip Man museum. Then went it then on the Temple. The temple was only accessible by boat and was high on the mountains. We had to walk thousands of steps and were very touched by this place. About 2000 years ago was still trained WingTjun and we were by this time, the first WingTjun'ler who entered this temple. We could not take this to train on site. Together with our Sifu Sergio GM we made our forms and trained Chi-Sao. It was very moving and emotional equal. In this place, the Tang family had started training with her WingTjun. Today were determined and enthusiastic Kung Fu enthusiastic people on the mountain, who learned more from this family. GM Sunny So, the last student of GM Tang Yick, was also very touched by this magical place.

Back in Hong Kong, we were then invited by Sifu Clifford GM and Sunny So for dinner. On the last day we had another opportunity to train in the park with GM Tang Chun Pak. We said goodbye to all masters and thanked us for the great and warm hospitality.
